Multiplying Time

A few years ago I hear someone pray that the Lord would multiply someone's time. The person being prayed for was needing to get a lot done in very little time as I am sure we can all relate to. Well, I have been praying for this same thing for myself in others any time there is a time cruch and there is a need for the Lord's wisdom and mercy in getting done what He wants done.

Last night I had an appointment to meet a friend at church to help her make some copies for a ministry I work with. I also had some details left to work out for the same event as well as some packing to do for my trip this weekend after a quick trip to Chick-fil-a and Walmart (of course). Long story short, Kari and I hopped out of the car at the church at around 5 'til 6:00pm. We went in, ran into Brittnie (speaker for the minstry I work with). Talk for a few minutes (estimated 5 minutes).....find Polly (one I am there to meet) go upstairs, discuss materials, talk, talk, talk, (estimated 15 minutes) head towards the copier, stop and talk to the ladies I am traveling with tomorrow.....talk about laundry, REVIVE, babysitters, plane tickets, etc, etc. (estimated 25 minutes) get to copier, copier occupied, next copier other side of church, make copies.....lots of pages, talk, talk, talk (estimated 10 minutes)....(by the way loving every minute of it)....head towards car, see people in transit and talk a little then across the expanse of the HSBC parking lot (over the river and through the woods) to the car (estimated 5 minutes). A bit stressed because I realized how much I actually had to do and was no where close to home.....Hop in the car and turn on, clock flashes 6:36pm.......NO WAY.......there is absolutely no way that only took 40 minutes.......I had estimated at least an hour......I am actually pretty good at estimating time as a practice and this time was the first time I remember that the actual time was WAY under. Kari and I both laughed and thought there was no way this could be real.....no way!!!

Once home, things continuted to move fast and both of us were ready for REVIVE and San Antonio by around 9:30pm. The moral to the story is, the LORD multiplied our time. Do I believe the LORD actually put time back on the clock....I believe he absolutely can do whatever he wills but cannot say that I know what happened in this instance. All I know is that the LORD answered my prayers to mulitply my time in one way or another and it blew me away.

Our God Reigns!
