Pack up the kids....get in the car....and take a drive....
Fall is here and at least in Alabama that equates to some beautiful foliage that you DON'T want to miss!
On my way into work today I was blown away by the vibrant variety of colors.....
Here is a suggeted route for those of you in the Hoover area....take the back way through Russet Woods, take a right out onto Parkwood Road....stay on Parkwood all the way to 150....beware of the potholes but look up and catch all the colors coming at you. Next, head out to Ross Bridge and wind through about 4 miles of beauty until you get the Shannon-Oxmoor Road...take a right....wind through and over the RR tracks to a tunnel of fall foliage....continue on until you reach the BP station and take a right to head up to Shades Crest.....Go UP UP over on top of the crest and try to stay on the road as you look out over the valley.....there will be one spot in particular that will take your breath away.....continue on Shades Crest and make your own trail from there but whatever you do, when you get home, get online and comment on this blog about what you saw.....
Take a Soli Deo Gloria afternoon and show your kids a tiny inkling of the Glory of the Lord!
