Compassion Bloggers...

This is a blog post about bloggers but trust me, it will be well worth your time.

A friend of mine who is always more on top of the blogging community and "happinin" things than I, told me about the Compassion International trip to India. I knew they were taking a trip....what I did not know was the reason. Compassion is taking several trips to various Compassion sponsored countries and taking along "popular bloggers." These bloggers were chosen because of the large amount of attention they draw with their posts. Many are connected to larger ministries thus boosting their publicity and they have traveled to India to blog about their experiences. The goal is to boost sponsorship of children through the very pensive, eye opening and heart-wrenching posts that flow from a day spent with Compassion children. I have at least skimmed all of the blogs and they are all amazing. I never imagined the impact that someone could have by simply immersing them self in the culture and then communicating that back to us via blog world. Therefore I want to take the next few minutes to become the Compassion bloggers' blogger.

Here are the links you need to keep up with the goings down of the India bloggers.  They return home tomorrow but it is well worth digging through their week in the literal slums of India.

If you haven't gotten the idea yet, these children can be shown the light of Christ and have their basic needs met with a donation that amounts to a cheap Sunday lunch for you and your family.  Use the link below to give another child a chance to dream big dreams and ultimately to enter the kingdom of God!

Sponsor a child online through Compassion's Christian child sponsorship ministry. Search for a child by age, gender, country, birthday, special needs and more.
